UPPER SANDUSKY — Rose Ann Rowe, age 79, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:37 p.m. at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
in Upper Sandusky.
Rose Ann was born on September 2, 1938 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Wayne Weaver and Charetta (Pahl) Weaver, both of whom are deceased. She married Wilbie Rowe on September 27, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salem Township and he survives in Upper Sandusky.
She is also survived by three sons: David (Kelly) Rowe, Dale (Lori) Rowe, both of Upper Sandusky and Steven (Debbie) Rowe of Powell, Ohio, as well as one daughter, Laurie (Larry) Malone of Spring Hill, Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Derek (Roshelle) Rowe, Allison (Andreas) Mueller, Hollie Wheeler, Lucas (Megan) Rowe, Jacob Rowe, and Sydney Rowe, along with three step-grandchildren: Joshua Malone, Cody Malone, and Savanna Malone. Nine great-grandchildren: Mallory, Jaclyn and Hayden Rowe, Aniela and Aleah Mueller, Kail and Holden Rowe and Fallyn and Silas Wheeler as well as one step-great-grandchild: Maverick Malone, also survive.
One brother, Francis Weaver of Sandusky, Ohio and two sisters: Carolyn (Denny) Thiel and Mary (Tom) Rettig, both of Upper Sandusky also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward Weaver, and two sisters: Joan McDonnell and Barbara Hendricks.
Rose Ann worked at United Aircraft in Forest for 44 years. She was an active member of Transfiguration of the Lord parish in Upper Sandusky, participating in the hospitality ministry and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a member for many years of the Red Hat Society. In her younger years, Rose Ann enjoyed bowling, walking and reading, spending winters in Leesburg, Florida, but most of all, she cherished time with her grandchildren.
A funeral mass for Rose Ann Rowe will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky with Father Antony Varghese Vattaparambil, OFM, Conv. and Deacon Kevin Wintersteller, officiating. Burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Upper Sandusky will follow the service.
Visitations will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with a scripture service to be held at 8 p.m.
