Toss Pakistan chose to bat v New Zealand
Live scorecard and ball-by-ball details

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed decided to bat at Eden Park in a bid to draw level in the T20I series. The visitors are trailing New Zealand 1-0 in the three-match contest, after having lost the ODIs 5-0.

Sarfraz said the pitch looked good for setting a target, and that the first Powerplay would be important. After the surprising decision to leave out Ahmed Shehzad for the first game, Pakistan brought him back for Mohammad Nawaz missing out.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson said he would have liked to bat first as well. The home side made several changes to their XI, with Williamson himself coming back in after recovering from a side strain. Trent Boult also made a comeback, and Ben Wheeler was also included.
