Bangladesh Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Monday said BNP is hatching conspiracy on educational campus after failing to conduct movement.

“People of the country are in peace and the conscious students and people of the country will dismantle their (BNP’s) all conspiracy”, he hoped.

Road Transport and bridges Minister Quader made the comment at an activists’ meeting at the dak-banglow premises of Lalmonirhat district town in the morning.

Bangladesh Awami League of the district unit organised the meeting. With district unit AL president Motahar Hossain MP in the chair, state minister for social welfare Nuruzzaman Ahmed, AL joint secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanok, Rangpur division AL organising secretary Abu Sayeed Dulal MP, Advocate Safura Begum MP, district AL secretary Matiar Rahman addressed the programme, among others.

Obaidul Quader said, "Mirza Fakhrul Islam! Movement after Eid! But many Eid have passed; how can you launch movement? People have rejected BNP and support Awami League".

"How will it conduct the movement that she (Khaleda Zia) went in England with the movement taking in her vanity bag," he added.

He also said, "Failing to conduct movement, BNP are hatching conspiracy against Sheikh Hasina government to dethrone her."

Addressing the local AL leaders and activists, Quader said, "There will be no space for any kind of terrorist or communal people. All AL leaders and activists must follow the ideology and spirit of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and War of Liberation of 1971."

"Without following the ideology, none can be a AL leader shouting slogans only," he added.
