It is laughable, but also very sad, that Deanna Browning (“Trump’s tweeting,” 1/8) and millions like her are convinced that President Donald Trump’s tweets are “his only recourse of sending truth out to the nation.” Sorry, Deanna, but there is usually not much truth in anything Trump says or tweets.

Trump’s tweets are almost always one of four types: 1) Taking credit for something he didn’t have much to do with. 2) Refusing to take blame for anything. 3) Blasting anyone with the temerity to disagree with his racist and xenophobic views. 4) Railing about the unfairness he and his “base” (i.e. Deanna) face every day. This man not only invented the term “fake news,” he has become the master of it.

If you want to know what’s going on in our country, Deanna, don’t look to Trump’s tweets or Fox News. You won’t find much “truth” from either source.
