The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating a Wednesday night officer-involved shooting in Greer.
SLED spokesman Thom Berry said his agency was contacted at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday about the shooting, which involved a Greer police officer and occurred near the intersection of J. Verne Smith Parkway and Victor Hill Road.
Details were scarce as of 10 p.m, though the shooting apparently happened after an officer checked on a parked car.
That officer and one other person were injured and taken to Spartanburg Medical Center for treatment, Berry said.
Their condition was not immediately available.
