A melodious appeal for clean a Pavana river
Melodious notes from Santoor and Flute were in the air when two great artists came together for a duet performance at Jijau Garden in Chinchwad on Saturday.

The concert named 'Saad Pavnechi' had Dhananjay Daithankar who learned his art from Pandit Shivkumar Sharma on the Santoor and Sunil Avchat, one of the pupils of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia weaving magic through their music.

The concert arranged as a part of their clean Pavana project. " We are working to clean this river through people participation for a couple of months now. This concert was meant to bring people on the river banks so that they feel connected to this river," said Pradeep Walhekar, the chapter president of Rotary Club of Walhekarwadi which organised the concert.


Such cultural programs from now on are set to be a regular affair under Pavnamai Sangeet Mohatsav.
