Low ratings have been dogging some quality programs for some time, including "Brooklyn Nine Nine" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." Others are just bad from the get go like CBS' "9JKL."

A new factor in cancellations is the rise of the "Me Too" movement which saw the curtains close on "House of Cards" and "Wisdom of the Crowd."
