Martin Lewis: Always do THIS when you buy your mobile phone to save £100s

MARTIN LEWIS appeared on ITV to explain how to save money on your mobile bill in minutes. He listed the best SIM only deals for your needs.

Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert, 45, said you could save £100s on your mobile bill with a simple trick.

Appearing on ITV show Good Morning Britain, he explained how to cut your mobile phone bill in half through using certain SIM only deals.

“You don’t get a new handset, you just get the little sim to put in your phone,” he said.

“The SIM only market has got seriously competitive, which means if you don’t need a new phone (or can buy one outright) most people can get a mobile at a fraction of the price (just ensure you’re out of contract).

“And if you’re out of contract, you should be able to call up your existing provider and ask them to unlock it for free.

“And with all of these you can move your phone number across.”

How to save money on your mobile bill

Martin listed the following deals to help mobile phone users save money.

Low users - pay £5/mth. New customers of iD mobile (through broadband choices website) which uses the Three network pay £5/mth for 2.25GB of data, 250 mins & 5,000 texts. It's a 30-day contract, so if you find you're using more you can switch again.
