In the battle of the Gasol brothers, Pau Gasol and the Spurs came out on top Wednesday night.

Backed by a double-double performance from Gasol, the Spurs (32-18) beat Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies 108-85 in Memphis.

After leading by as many as eight points, the Spurs went into the second quarter clinging to a
22-21 lead over the Grizzlies.

The Spurs extended their lead throughout the second quarter and headed into halftime up 51-40.

The third quarter was highlighted by two electric dunks from Davis Bertans that led the Spurs into the final frame with a 77-64 lead.

The Spurs largest lead of the night came late in the fourth quarter and the team showed no signs of stopping until the final buzzer.

Gasol led the team with 14 points and 15 rebounds to record his 10th double-double of the season. Also boasting nine assists, Gasol was just shy of a triple-double. He is the first player 37 years or older with more than 10 double-doubles since Tim Duncan in 2015-16, according to the team.

Eight other Spurs also hit double figures for the third time this season, including Dejounte Murray who had a career-high seven assists.

The other Gasol brother led the Grizzlies with 18 points and seven rebounds.

The Spurs are back at the AT&T Center on Friday to take on Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
