Arcadia’s Bryan Harrison tries to put Liberty-Benton’s Mason Richards from his neck to his back during Wednesday’s Division III OHSAA regional team tournament match. Harrison won the match but the Eagles scored a 55-24 win over the Redskins.

SYCAMORE — Upper Sandusky will be making a return trip to the OHSAA team tournament regional semifinals.
But this time it will be in Division III.
The Rams, who advanced to the regional final tournament last season in Division II, racked up wins over Liberty-Benton and Van Buren to win its Region 18 bracket at Mohawk and advance to next week’s Division III Region 18 semifinals at a site to be determined by the OHSAA.
Upper Sandusky pinned a 51-27 loss on the Eagles before taking down Van Buren 42-28.
The Rams will take on Ashland Crestview, which edged Mohawk 36-33 to win the other bracket. Edison and Genoa will square off in the other semifinal bout next week. The winner next week qualifies for OHSAA Division III state team tournament at Ohio State’s St. John Arena.
Upper Sandusky seniors Arik Schneider (145), Mitchell Dewitt (195) and Connor Johnston (220) all posted 2-0 records to lead the Rams. Sophomores Ashton Shepherd, Brayzin McDaniel (132) and Garrett Thomas (138) were 2-0, as was freshman 113-pounder Caleb Payne.
Van Buren opened with a 43-30 win over Bucyrus before falling to the Rams in the final. Grant Young (113) and Dino Donaldson (120) were 2-0 for the Black Knights in the lower weights. Seniors Tyler Ludwig (152), Kevin Beall (160) and Jake Emerine (170) also went 2-0.
Liberty-Benton also competed in the lower bracket and went 1-1 with a 55-24 win over Arcadia. Race Gorrell (152), Justin Hartford (160), Nathan DiRe (182) and Grant Vermilya (285) won both matches for the Eagles.
Cory-Rawson stopped Hopewell-Loudon 37-19 and Carey defeated Lucas 54-24 in the upper bracket quarterfinals.
In the semis, Mohawk edged the Hornets 41-33 and Ashland Crestview topped the Blue Devils 45-26 before the Cougars nipped the Warriors in the final.
Logan Korpics (170), Blaine Peterson (182) Dylon Stoops (195) and Zerich Magnall (220) were 2-0 to lead Cory-Rawson.
Hayden Jacoby (152), Trent Phoenix and Tanner May (195) were unbeaten for Carey.
