I met Justin at a concert last summer.

It was early June, and the bluegrass band Horseshoes and Hand Grenades was playing near Wausau. A mutual friend introduced us, and after the concert we connected over a pint of beer and conversation about The Beatles, because it was the 50th anniversary of the release of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." We ended up listening to the album together, and he asked me out on a date.

But enough about me. Every couple has a story about how they got together. I want to know about your meet-cutes.

The meet-cute, long a staple of romantic comedies, is a scenario in which two individuals are brought together in some "unlikely, destined-to-fall-in-love-and-be-together-forever sort of story," according to Urban Dictionary.

In "You've Got Mail," she owned an independent bookstore; he ran a rival corporate chain store, and they struck up a relationship via email. Maybe you just kept finding each other after a chance meeting at a department store, like in the movie "Serendipity."

Did you meet when you both ordered the same drink at a coffee shop, and reached for the to-go cup at the same time? Did your future partner stop your dog as it pulled its leash from your grasp?

If you have a cute, crazy or just downright interesting way you met your partner, we want to hear about it! We'll feature love stories from across the state on Valentine's Day, the most romantic day of the year. Let me know. I really want to hear your love stories!

Send me an email at leschulte@gannett.com with your story, and a picture of you and your partner.

Sometimes we find love in unexpected ways. Let's hear about the funny, unusual or just plain sweet ways you found your other half.
