Australia telecom complaints increase in Q4

Complaints to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO), as a proportion of services in operation (SIO) increased to 8.7 complaints per 10,000 for the period between October and December 2017. This is higher than the 8.3 complaints per 10,000 for the period between July and September 2017, but below the high point of 9.0 complaints per 10,000 SIO recorded for the period between April and June 2017, according to a TIO report. Telstra and Vodafone saw 9.2 and 4.9 complaints per 10,000 SIO respectively. Optus received 10.6 complaints per 10,000 SIO in the October to December 2017 period, while Amaysim saw 1.4 complaints per 10,000 SIO, and Pivotel registered 0 complaints per 10,000 SIO.
