The education ministry says it will cancel the upcoming Secondary School Certificate or SSC exams if test questions leak.
“Let me be very clear, if something like that happens and even if it’s after the tests are over, it will be cancelled,” Secondary and Higher Education Secretary Md Sohorab Hossain told the media on Thursday.
The school-leaving SSC and exams are set to start on Feb 1.
In the last few years, the questions of public exams have leaked on the internet the night before the tests, which can be found on social media sites such as Facebook in the morning.
In its frantic bid, the education ministry earlier this month ordered coaching centres to close three days before start of the next SSC and equivalent exams.
Coaching centres will remain closed from Jan 26 to Feb 24, when the theoretical tests end.
The ministry also said that the exams this year will be held with a unified question paper across the country.
