Jauhar scene
Though this is the final scene in the film, this is the most special one in Padmaavat. The scene will literally give you goosebumps as you see Deepika walking towards the Jauhur Kund to commit Jauhar along with several Rajput women to evade capture by Alauddin Khilji. Deepika while talking about this scene also said that it was indeed one of the most difficult scenes for her. The scene was shot for a few days. Describing the experience while shooting the sequence, Ms Padukone said, “The Jauhar scene is by far my most special & challenging moments as an actor. I cannot wait for you to witness it.”
Malik Kafur’s entry
Malik Kafur is a present to Khilji by uncle Jalaluddin Khilji played by Raza Murad. Khilji is awarded Kafur for winning the Devgiri kingdom. As soon as the present is revealed, Kafur proves his loyalty to Khilji by killing the two vazirs who are there at that point. Before Khilji and Ratan Singh meet
There is a sequence in the film where Alauddin Khilji and Raja Ratan Singh meet for the first time at the Chittor Fort. The parallel visuals of the two getting ready to meet each other are beautifully shot and easily one of the best moments of the film. While Rani Padmavati helps Raja Ratan Singh to get ready, Malik Kafur assists Khilji.
Khilji addressing his army
Due to harsh weather conditions and lack of other provisions, Alauddin Khilji’s army is close to mutiny. When Khilji learns about this, he gives a speech which though is a little manipulative, brings all of them together. That was truly one masterstroke.
Binte Dil
More than a scene, this is a song where Jim Sarbh aka Malik Kafur expresses his love for Khilji while the latter is in the bathtub. Kafur bolding shows his longing for Khilji as he is seen scrubbing his feet. If you have watched the film, you’ll know what we are trying to say here.
