Zinc futures remain up on strong demand

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in February edged up by Rs 1.05, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 220.70 per kg in a business turnover of 221 lots. In a similar fashion, the for delivery in January contracts was up by Re 1, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 221.50 per kg in 1,506 lots. Marketmen said widening of positions by participants on the back of rising demand from consuming industries in the domestic spot market, kept futures higher.
