YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticised the TDP government for “whiling away” the time discussing the designs of Amaravati with film personalities instead of showing concrete results on the construction of the capital city in the last four years.
Mr. Reddy was addressing people on the 70th day of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra at villages and towns in the Sullurupeta Assembly segment in the district on Wednesday.
In his speeches at Sirasanambedu, Pennepalli, and Nayudupeta, Mr. Jagan sought to highlight the “failures” of the government saying that at least one or two buildings should have been constructed in the new capital by now.
“But the Chief Minister has shown more interest in going abroad in special flights. When he is here (in the State), he would discuss the issue of capital construction with film directors and not with professionally-trained architects,” Mr. Jagan said.
He accused Mr. Naidu of totally ignoring his election promise of creating one job per every household.
