The second edition of ‘OMR Run,’ organised by the Rotary Club of Chennai Upscale, will be held on February 4.
Around 6,000 persons are expected to participate in the fund-raising initiative that will be flagged off from Sathyabhama Institute of Science and Technology on Rajiv Gandhi Salai at 6 a.m. The OMR Run is a family fun event with 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km categories.
All those who finish the run will get a medal and every participant will get a T-shirt, breakfast and a goodie bag with discount vouchers from stores on Rajiv Gandhi Salai.
The funds go towards e-learning facilities created at three Adi Dravida welfare schools at Pudupakkam, Taiyur and Kadalur; vocational training programmes in tailoring and development of computer skills for adults of these villages; and other programmes, said a press release.
The registration fee for adults is ₹750 and ₹500 for college and school students. Participants can pick up T-shirts and goodie bags on February 1 and 2. Registration can also be done at stalls at Decathlon in Padur and AGS Cinemas in Siruseri and Olympia Tech Park at Guindy. Registration can be done online at rotary-chennaiupscale.com.
