All the living things have to taste death and that is for sure. The same was experienced by Naeem’s family. Naeem was a careless person and never thought about his future. He always lived in the present and did not prepare for the circumstances that could come his way.
His life took a turned upside down when his father died and said goodbye to this world. But, the greatest shock was not this. The shock was his father died in his girldfriend’s house. NNow it was one of the biggest tasks for Naeem’s family to hide this fact from the society.
It was the time to prepare for Naeem’s father’s last rituals. Every brother was busy putting this on social media and also prepared for his last ritual according to their status. Seeing this, their father was upset.
When Naeem’s father sees what is been done to his death, he remembers the famous poetry by Ghalib ‘Huye Hum Mar Ke Bhi Jo Ruswa’. “This play is a satire on today’s world and what people are into these days. Today social media has made death a fun, it is just a post for everybody else. Death has become a joke and to narrate about it, we prepared this play” says writer Rafi Shabbir. “I am sure people will like it,” he added.
