Your letters: Landlords and condos should ban pot smoking and grow-ops

Stop the smoke, Editorial, Jan. 24

I applaud your excellent editorial pointing out that landlords should be given the right to ban anyone smoking pot in their rental units. I think this needs to be expanded to give them the authority to ban anyone from growing up to four plants.

Only Quebec and Manitoba are willing to challenge the Trudeau government by refusing to allow the growing of a personal pot supply. Grow-ops in a condo building not only will damage the unit growing the plant with moisture, mould and foul smells, but potentially surrounding condos.

Children living in grow-op units run a greatly enhanced risk to their health from the dangerous substances emitted from the pot plants.

Sadly, we are seeing more and more unaddressed, unintended consequences as pot legalization looms.
