GORDO -- DeAndrius Martin led the Gordo High School boys basketball team with a double-double in a 71-65 victory over Holy Spirit on Wednesday. Martin finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Jay Stepp finished with 18 points, D.J. Barnes had 12 points and Devan Barnett added 11 points.
For Holy Spirit, Jaylon Stevenson had 21 points, Mason Mulanix finished with 20 points and Phil McDuff had 17 points.
Holy Spirit (10-8) hosts American Christian Academy on Friday. Gordo travels to Lamar County on Thursday.

Berry 71
BERRY -- Malik Betts led Pickens County in its Class 1A, Area 9 contest with 25 points. Jamarcus Wells added 18 points.
For Berry, Levi Cannon had 23 points, Isaac Darty finished with 21 points and Tyler Lollar had 15 points.
Berry (4-14) hosts Northside on Thursday.

Oak Grove 39
Four Ironmen players scored in the double figures during their Class 4A, Area 7 victory. D.J. Robertson had 16 points, Micah Washington added 14 points, Josh Strozier had 12 points and six rebounds, and Jalen Merriweather finished with 10 points and five rebounds.
Holt (13-9, 4-1) travels to Sipsey Valley on Friday.

Pickens County 49,
Berry 42
BERRY -- Three Pickens County players scored in double figures. Kalea Cole had 17 points and Kateria Simon and Khaylan Smith added 10 points.
Berry’s Tyner Beth Bowling had 12 points and both Zoe Mauldin and Sommer Bullard had nine points.
Berry (10-11, 4-4) hosts Northside on Thursday.

Gordo 42
GORDO -- Both Aryn Head and Imani Thompson had 14 points for Holy Spirit. Head also had 14 rebounds, four steals and a block, and Thompson had four assists and three steals. Laura Spence finished with 10 points and four steals, and Kennedey Swift had seven steals, six rebounds and four points.
For Gordo, Keionni Prude had 14 points and Corley Sellers added nine points.
