C’garh High Court has settled 31,493 cases in the past one year (January-December 2017), an official press release issued here on Wednesday informed.
About 33 ,307 cases were registered/ filed during this period, it informed.
Altogether 2.84L cases have been resolved in the year 2017. Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh HC has started issuing judgement copies in Hindi also.
Registrar General of C’garh High Court Gautam Chowradiya released details on behalf of Chief Justice of High Court.
He added that under the guidance of Chief Justice T. B. Radhakrishnan, the HC had been settling cases fast.
Special Bench of the High Court settles cases on specific Saturdays also. Special List system had begun in the lower courts also.
Hearings are done on a daily basis. Under the Uniform Listing Policy cases relating to women, children, differently-abled and senior citizens are given top priority.
He said that 26,710 pending cases have been settled through discussions with sparring parties in Lok Adalats and National Lok Adalats.
Registrar General said that 34 judicial services related programmes have been organized at Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy in the year 2017 in which 296 officers took part.
