Serious crash between truck and motorcycle on Stock Rd

A teenage boy has been seriously injured after a truck and a motorcycle collided in Bridge Pa, Hastings, this morning.

A police spokesperson said the crash happened about 8.30am on Stock Rd near the intersection with Irongate Rd West.

Police said a motorbike was travelling on the wrong side of Stock Rd, on a limestone cycle pathway, heading north towards Flaxmere when a truck pulled out of a driveway.

The Serious Crash Unit and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team had been advised. Diversions are in place.

A DHB spokesperson said the boy was in a stable condition.
