Two persons were killed in a collision between a car and truck on Bokaro-Ramghrah highway near Chargi hotel under the Peterwar police station in Bokaro district here on Tuesday night at 9 pm, said police.
According to the police, a man Jobbed Akhtar was driving the Indica car (JH-10T-5075) with a patient Shamsher Ali as passenger was returning from Ranchi To Kathara .However, he lost control over the car, which took a right turn, climb over the road median and went over to the other side before colliding with the LP truck which was on its way from Bokaro to Ramghrah.
The impact of the collision was such that one occupants identified as Shamsher Ali a CCL employee at Kathara, including the driver, were severely injured .Later they were rushed to the local hospital in Peterwar, where doctors pronounced Shamsher and Jobbed Akhtar as dead on arrival .Both were residents of Kathara near Bokaro Thermal. A case has been registered at the Peterwar police station, the police said.
