Spotlight on Kristaps Porzingis: They newly minted all-star missed Tuesday’s Knicks loss at the defending champion Golden State Warriors due to “knee irritation.” But Porzingis was masterful the last time he faced the Nuggets, scoring 38 points (then a career-high) and adding seven rebounds in a 116-110 Knicks win at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 30. The 7-foot-3 Latvian has an impressive wingspan and deep shooting range, helping him average 23.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
