PLANTSVILLE – Flora J. Salcito, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Flora was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Salcito) Salcito.
She was a graduate of Crosby High School and Post Junior College. Flora worked for the Social Security Administration for more than 30 years.
Flora was an avid outdoorswoman. In years past, she loved to ski, bowl and play golf. She was a member of several local golf leagues, including the Swingers Golf League.
Flora is survived by her sister, Arlene Salcito of Plantsville; her sister-in-law, Palma Solomita of Cheshire; and her niece, Palma Salcito of Cheshire. She also leaves several generations of cousins and many friends. Flora was predeceased by her brother, Anthony J. Salcito.
The funeral will be Friday at Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, with a calling hour from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and a service beginning at 10:30. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
