Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will now preside over meetings with the MLAs for fixing their priorities in the annual budget for the year 2018-19 on 12 and 13 February, instead of 8 and 9 February fixed earlier.
A spokesman of the state government said the priority demands of MLAs would be considered in the meeting so that these could be incorporated in the budget.
The meeting with MLAs of Solan, Sirmour and Shimla districts will be held from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM while the meeting with MLAs of Mandi, Kullu and Bilaspur districts would be held from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM on February 12.
The meeting with MLAs of Kangra, Lahaul & Spiti and Kinnaur districts would be held from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM whereas the meeting with MLAs of Chamba, Una and Hamirpur districts would be held from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM on February 13.
The spokesman said that priorities of MLAs regarding roads, bridges and small irrigation and drinking water supply schemes have been invited. The issues such as generating more resources, better administration and taking up steps for containing expenditure on various heads would also be discussed with MLAs in the meeting.
