Riverdale Accidentally Confirmed Betty and Jughead Will Be Back Together Soon

Bughead lives!

When The CW announced that Riverdale would be doing a musical episode this season, they released cheeky "cast bios" for each of the star performers. Most of the bios were filled with cute in-jokes and unsurprising character background (of course Veronica once played Velma in Chicago at her old prep school), but Betty's (Lili Reinhart) bio included a very special message Bughead fans do not want to miss.

Although Betty and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) broke up in the midseason finale, it appears as though by the time the two take the stage for Carrie: The Musical (airing April 18) the beloved duo will be back together, based on Betty's bio below:

Betty Cooper (Sue Snell) usually spends her time as Riverdale's foremost teen journalist, but between news stories, she is thrilled to be a part of Carrie: The Musical, performing alongside her Mother, Alice Cooper. Congratulations to her long-time best friend, director Kevin Keller, for realizing his vision, and much love to her boyfriend, Jughead Jones. #bugheadforever

Riverdale Mega Buzz: Get Ready for the Return of Dark Betty

Yup. "Much love to her boyfriend." There you have it, people. Bughead is officially coming back!

This isn't exactly a barn-burner given that Betty and Jughead never stopped loving each other after the split. And since Archie (KJ Apa) got back with Veronica (Camila Mendes) before Betty and Archie could explore what that kiss might have meant to either of them, it felt sort of inevitable that Betty and Jughead would reunite this season. But that doesn't mean it isn't comforting to have that information confirmed.

What we do take issue with, however, is Betty championing her own couple hashtag in her cast bio. Get it together, girl. You're better this.

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW. The musical episode will air Wednesday, April 18.

(Full disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, one of the CW's parent companies.)
