    Sanchez became the centre of an intense transfer war after it became clear he would not be extending his deal at Arsenal - which was set to expire at the end of the season.

    It was highly expected that the Chilean would link up with old boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in January, but United came in and trumped their neighbours at the last minute.

    As well as paying a £30m valuation, the player's £20m signing on fee and more than £10m in agent fees, the Red Devils also gave Arsenal Mkhitaryan in exchange.
