9:25 a.m. UPDATE:
Washoe County School District staff confirmed that the lockdown has been lifted and Traner Middle School has resumed normal activities.
The lockdown was initiated at about 7:55 a.m. this morning after school police received an anonymous tip of a potential threat against the school, but no such threat was found.
It's unclear as to what that threat was.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Traner Middle School in Reno was on a code yellow lockdown Wednesday.
School police were investigating a report of a threat against the school, according to Charles Rahn, a Washoe County School District spokesman.

Classes were continuing, Rahn said. The code yellow is a precautionary lockdown for "heightened awareness," he said, and to prepare for a stronger lockdown if needed.
Traner Middle School is at 1700 Carville Drive, just northwest of the Spaghetti Bowl.
