KENT — The annual Portage County NAACP Prayer Breakfast has been rescheduled for Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event will be held at the Kent United Church of Christ located at 1400 E. Main St. in Kent.
A tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. by Amari Mercury of Stanton Middle School will open the breakfast, followed by the MLK Youth Challenge, with NAACP Scholarship recipient Candice Harris speaking.
Music will be provided by Rootstown Middle School’s Zepeniah Curgil and Brown Middle School’s Khamora Gibson.
Tickets are $10 and the event is free for students under the age of 18.
