Holly Willoughby confesses she almost WIPED OUT Emmerdale star in NTAs disaster
HOLLY WILLOUGHBY may be busy writing an apology to an Emmerdale cast member this evening after she accidentally caused chaos at the National Television Awards last night.
The 36-year-old TV host was left red-faced when she dropped her phone from a balcony at the London event which almost landed on a star from the ITV soap.
Discussing the hiccup on This Morning earlier today with her co-host Phillip Schofield, 55 and Alison Hammond, 42, the mother-of-three shared her vague memory of the incident where she claimed her mobile “flew out of her hand”.
She said: "I was in the car and I got a message from you [Alison Hammond] saying, 'Have you got your phone?' What happened was I was talking to Graham Norton and my phone literally flew out of my hand...."
Alison gave further details and told the pair: "It was a very high drop, a massive drop, and you could've killed someone. Shall I tell you what happened to your phone?

"It actually fell into the cast of Emmerdale while they were partying and then they had to fight their way through security in order to get the phone back to you. So there's a lot of apologies to make."
Holly’s TV sidekick Phil joked about the situation.
He chimed: "Thank goodness it bounced off the Emmerdale cast otherwise you might have broken your screen."
A concerned Holly pulled a worried face before she added: "I hope everyone is alright."
Alison replied: "It didn't land on anyone. But it landed in the party."

Holly’s accident wasn’t her only hiccup of the night.
The blonde bombshell suffered multiple wardrobe malfunctions throughout the evening as she struggled to handle her billowing floor-length dress.
The TV host was captured fighting with her gown in the wind on the red carpet as well as her hair which continuously blew in her face.
At one point ahead of the annual ceremony, her pastel-coloured outfit got caught up on a pole, which she seemingly corrected swiftly.

Holly was also seen struggling to fit her oversized ensemble in the car she shared with her husband Daniel Baldwin, Phillip and his wife Stephanie Lowe.
The on-screen beauty’s night soon turned around when she and Phil accepted the award for the Best Daytime show on behalf of ITV show This Morning.
The pair seemed worse for wear on the show today as they announced they had won the gong eight years consecutively and thanked their voters.
The National Television Awards are available to watch on catch up on the ITV hub.
