Our spring fling comes to an end today, but it’s only temporary. We’re in the 40s today and tomorrow, with noticeable breezes adding to the chill. But we’ll approach 50 again by Friday and should flirt with 60 this weekend, although Sunday’s warmth may come with showers.

But overall it’s a noticeably colder day than the past few, with afternoon highs in the mid-40s to near 50 under partly sunny skies. Tomorrow (Thursday): We’ve got plenty of sun, but temperatures struggle with a cold and very dry air mass in place. Highs stall in the low to mid-40s, with breezes from the northwest at about 10 to 15 mph adding to the chill. Confidence: High

Temperatures begin to moderate Friday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s, followed by Friday night lows in the 30s. Confidence: Medium-High
The real warmth arrives this weekend with highs heading for the upper 50s to low 60s. Saturday should still feature plenty of sun, but with increasing clouds later in the day. A chance of showers arrives Saturday night as lows only dip to the 40s, with scattered showers a decent bet on Sunday. Confidence: Low-Medium
