Man held with drugs worth Rs 2.4 lakh

PANAJI: On the intervening night of January 22 and 23, the anti-narcotics cell of Panaji held a Mangaluru native with 210gm of charas and 18.521gm of heroin, altogether worth Rs 2.40 lakh.

The accused was held at a bus stop shed near Goa University road at Bambolim.


The ANC team led by Ditendra Naik conducted the raid based on a tip-off.


A case was booked against the accused Kavith Kant under the NDPS Act. He has been remanded to four days police custody.
