Uttar Pradesh is celebrating its foundation day today. Several functions have been organised across the state on the occasion. The main function will be held in Lucknow.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will be the Chief Guest. Various projects and schemes, worth about 25,000 crores rupees, will be launched during the function.
This is the first time the state is celebrating its Foundation Day on a large scale. Governor Ram Naik had floated the idea for the celebrations which was accepted by the state government.
