“Christmas, New Year, Makar Sankranti/Pongal holidays or forthcoming republic day weekend are lean season for us. During this time, traffic jams won’t be at its best. Due to school holidays most of the families go out of town”, said Ratan Noora, Chief executive officer of Ratan tours and Travels.

“From Jan 29th onwards till April 1st week when summer vacation starts in schools, people can book for the ‘Char Jam’ darshan by clicking under ‘special packages’ options on our website. Considering April-May month local assembly election will be held here, PM Modi Ji, Amit Shah, Rahul Ji will visit Bengaluru multiple times to cause big traffic snarls inside the city. So, we might stretch the offer under summer special. Let us see”, said Mr. Noora.

Mr. Noora added, “Unlike other tours and travel operators we will take our customers to the heart of the jams. We will give them breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner when they will be inside buses experiencing those four major jams”.

“We have tied up with Mr. Nagaraj, a traffic constable who retired from his job recently to work a tour guide for us. He has seen it all, will share some historical facts with our customers. How small jams of nineties got converted to little larger ones at the start of this century. Now they are so big if we are lucky Mr. Nagaraj is saying, these four major jams (Silk Board, K.R. Puram railway station, Kundalahalli gate, Old Airport road) might connect with each other to have a Sangam at the Marathahalli bridge. The biggest moment each Bengalurean is dying to see”, said Mr. Noora.

Mr. Noora added, “Even techies can take this package. They can work while experiencing the jams. Our buses will have free wi-fi facility, a lounge area exclusively for smoking and unlimited chai”.
