Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has one big reason for wanting Manchester United transfer

REAL MADRID star Gareth Bale wants to join Manchester United because of the Red Devils’ will to win, according to reports.

Manchester United continue to keep tabs on Bale amid uncertainty over his long-term Real Madrid future.

The Wales international could call time on his Bernabeu career at the end of the season, with injuries regularly scuppering his chances of making Zinedine Zidane’s team.

It has previously been reported that Bale wants to return to England with United who, despite being snubbed by the player twice before during Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes’ time in charge, are keen to snap him up.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol say their sheer will to win has convinced Bale his future lies at Old Trafford.

Real Madrid are expected to sign one or two world-class attackers at the end of the season.

And Bale may be the fall guy should one of Eden Hazard or Neymar arrive.

Diario Gol say the Wales forward feels United is the perfect home for him.

And a transfer is not beyond the realms of probability.

Their deal for Alexis Sanchez this month came out of the blue, with the club using their pulling power to convince him to join Manchester City.

Meanwhile, at the start of the season, Bale also praised Jose Mourinho for steering the club to the Europa League and EFL Cup titles last term.

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale thinks Jose Mourinho will win trophies with Manchester United

“I think they’re getting there. Obviously by bringing Mourinho in, it’s kind of boosted the club,” he said.

“It did them good to win a few trophies last year and I think they’re getting back to where they belong.

“They gave us a difficult game and I see no reason why they can’t be a force in the Champions League this season.

“Jose’s a great manager, he’s done everything in football, he knows what he’s doing and I’m sure he’s building a great team for what he hopes to achieve there.”

Bale is also reportedly happy to return to Tottenham as part of a deal that would see Harry Kane move clubs.
