VERO BEACH -- The Junior League of Indian River will hold Operation Prom on March 10 at the Boys and Girls Club of Vero Beach .

The club is located at 1729 17th Ave., and the event will be held from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

In its sixth year, Operation Prom provides teens an opportunity to acquire stylish formal attire for their prom events at no cost. The event provides a dynamic, fun way for teens to shop for their formal wear while interacting with and receiving support from others in the community.

New and gently used dresses, gowns, suits, and tuxedos are collected and made available for teens to browse and select.

Gently used dresses, gowns, suits and tuxedos as well as accessories like handbags, jewelry and shoes can be donated at VNA Hidden Treasures Thrift Store at 656 21st St, Vero Beach and  at 11646 US Hwy. 1, Sebastian.

Please label all donations as “Operation Prom.” Junior League of Indian River Operation Prom Chair Ashley Novander has been a committee member since joining the league.

"Operation Prom is a great opportunity for new members to exemplify Junior League's public service mission and create an event to benefit families in our community,” says Novander. “Prom is a very special event for teens and the Junior League is happy to help assist with picking out attire to make their memories even more special."

The Junior League of Indian River is an all-women non-profit organization that focuses on creating a better community through volunteerism.
