Blizzard Entertainment has released a new update for multiplayer shooter Overwatch that adds an all new map alongside an assortment of cosmetic options.

The highlight of the patch is undoubtedly Blizzard World, a long-awaited map that was first announced at BlizzCon 2017.

This hybrid playground is based in a theme park inspired by Blizzard’s cavalcade of iconic properties. Filled with a bunch of nifty easter eggs, fans should have a blast finding them all.

Blizzard World is now available in standard rotation alongside a temporary arcade mode where players can play it exclusively for a limited time.

The update also adds a significant amount of new cosmetics in the form of skins, emotes, sprays and highlight intros for each hero.

To our knowledge, this marks the first time Blizzard has provided players with a notable amount of new goodies outside of its seasonal events, the next of which will be held to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Our personal favourite is easily D.Va’s Black Cat skin, turning her mechanical companion into a ferocious feline while she herself dons a fabulous dress. See it in action below.
