Swachhata Pakhwada at sbi

Bhopal:SBI is observing SwachhataPakhwada with effect from January 16 to 31. During the period various awareness activities and programmes are being organized by the Bank. In this connection, Bank staff staged a short play near Quality Restaurant in New Market aimed at creating awareness toward cleanliness amongst the people.The script was written by Shrikant Apte. Aseem Dubey directed the play. Alok Gucch, Aseem Dubey, BhavnaTehaliyani, Rashmi Singh, Siddharth and Ankit were among the Actors. Punit Verma gave the Music. A large number of audience was present during the play. Geeta Pillai, DGM and Circle Development Officer was also present on the occasion.

Children are country’s future: guv

Bhopal:Governor Anandiben Patel said that children are the future of the country and it is under their leadership that our country will become a great nation in the world. Hence special attention should be paid to the health and education of children.After taking oath on Tuesday, Governor Patel first met children of Ankur Anganwadi Kendra and Bal Niketan and distributed sweets and fruits to them. She took stock of arrangements made for their education and meals.The Governor instructed the officials to extend complete support to children who wish to study further. She said that children who are not able to attend classes for some reason should be sent to school.Smt. Patel reached Bal Niketan and saw paintings and drawings made by children there. She was gifted a shawl, chunri made by the children.Women and Child Development Minister Archana Chitnis, Governor’s daughter Anar Patel, Commissioner Integrated Child Development Sandeep Yadav, Commissioner Women Empowerment Jaishree Kiyawat, Bal Niketan Trust Chairman Sushil Tapadia and other office-bearers were present on the occasion.

Late kamla saxena’s eyes donated

Bhopal:Eyes of 87 year old late Kamla saxena have been donated to Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital by her Daughter Kirti Verma. A resident of E-3/130, Arera Colony Bhopal, late Kamla Saxena died on January 22. With this donation two blind persons would now get the eye-sight. For the sake of two visually impaired persons, Daughter of the deceased took this decision.As many as 1,519 free cornea transplantations have so far been performed in Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. Trustee LC Janiyani paid homage to the departed soul and expressed gratitude to the family members for this donation.

Immunisation programme reaches children

Bhopal:Under the Saghan Mission Indradhanush, an immunization team of Health Department reached out to those people who never used to come for immunization. An immunization team led by Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Anand Mahindra and BMO Dr Abhilesh Singh of Raipur Karchuliyan (Rewa) reached the children working in under construction Asia’s biggest solar plant Gudh and carried out their vaccination.The team visited isolated areas in Badwar mountains under Dastak Abhiyan and inspected every single house. During inspection they found four children in the age group of 0-2 years and vaccinated them.The team also found a severely malnourished girl Swati Pawar during inspection. Six-month old Swati is the daughter of Bhagwan Pawar, resident of Hingoli in Maharashtra who has currently come to Badwar to work for solar plant. The infant’s grandmother has been counseled by the Health Department to get the child admitted in the nearest Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre. The infant needed immediate blood transfusion. She was given treatment in the nick of time.
