Kyrgyzstan operators have proposed a compromise in their dispute with the Kyrgyzstan Central Bank on mobile payments, reports Tazabek. This follows the Central Bank restricting the development of mobile payment services.

The operators have proposed additional measures to protect customer funds stored in mobile payment services. The measures include deposits placed by the operators on accounts of commercial banks.

The Central Bank earlier announced that it plans to issue a ban on top-ups of electronic wallets from handset balances.

The daily turnover of m-payment services totals around KGS 1.2 million.
