BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao, who is on a three-day visit to the State, on Tuesday claimed that his party would be the only alternative party to form Government in Odisha as the people have been fed up with the “failures and corrupt practices” of the BJD Government.
“It has been proved that the BJP has come to power in States where it had no strong base during the last three years. It is happening because common people are posing trust on the good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Rao told a Press conference here.
He, however, stated that the Union Government would give priorities to Odisha and extend full supports to Odisha for development.
Rao is scheduled to move to the party’s two organising districts, Bhubaneswar and Ganjam. He would hold discussions on party plans with senior leaders, MLAs and office-bearers of various wings of the party.
Among others, BJP spokespersons Sajjan Sharma and Sudipta Ray were present.
