
Renowned yesteryear actress Krishna Kumari passed away at 85. As per reports, she was suffering form cancer and was undergoing treatment for the past few years. She breathed her last at a home in Bengaluru. For those who don’t the actress was one of the most sought after stars of Telugu cinema in the 60s. She was also a known face in the Tamil and Kannada industry. Her co-stars included iconic actors like NT Rama Rao, Sivaji Ganesan, Kanta Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Jaggaya.
Pathala Bhairavi marked her debut but her role was brief. It was Navvithe Navaratnalu that marked her official debut. Viduthalai, Thirumbi Paar, Pudhuyugam, Thirumbi Paar, Manithan were some of her many works in Tamil cinema. She then went on to do many Telugu films. Kulagothralu, Gudi Gantalu, Vagdanam were some of her hit Telugu films. In the early 60s, she even entered the Kannada industry, but eventually went back to Tollywood. But even in that short period she delivered quite a few commercial hits in Sandalwood. Through her career, her biggest hits have been with Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
She went on to act in 150 Telugu films, 30 Tamil and Kannada films.
