Symbiosis Society kickstarts their cultural fest
Symbiosis's cultural event 'Sanskrutik Mahotsav', a plethora of cultural events in Pune was inaugurated on January 23. The event was held at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum open arena and was open to public with free entry.

The Mahotsav was inaugurated by Union Minister Mr. Ramdas Athawale and actress Sharmila Tagore. Apart from the two dignitaries, this year saw director and producer Nivedita Basu who also happens to be alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communications receiving the 'Symbiosis Sanskrutik Puraskar' for her contribution to the film industry. Renowned devotional singer Dr. Bharat Balvalli was also felicitated for his contribution in the field of music.

The inauguration ceremony was followed by 'Sharmila Tagore Sangeet Rajni'- a musical treat wherein Prof. Anupam Siddhartha interviewed the actress through the course. The


This event takes place every January to celebrate the rich heritage and cultural of Pune which was addressed by Prof. Vidya Yerwadekar and Dr. S.B. Majumdar Founder and President of Symbiosis Society.
