Maoists to observe January 26 as 'Black Day'
The Communist Party of India (Maoist) has put up a number of posters at many places in undivided Koraput district asking the people to observe the Republic Day as "Black Day".

The posters were pasted in Pottangi, Narayanapatna and Bandhugaon areas by the Srikakulam-Koraput Division Committee of the CPI (Maoist). They have also urged the people in the posters to observe January 26 as "Black Day" as a mark of protest against the Kunduli Dalit girl's alleged gang-rape by 'uniformed men'.

They have demanded immediate arrest of the accused involved in the crime and withdrawal of the police force from south Odisha.

They have also demanded to save the tribals from the clutches of moneylenders, liquor traders and contractors.
