The presenter, who hosts Britain's Got Talent, Saturday Night Takeaway and I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, hit headlines last year after admitting himself to rehab for addiction to painkillers.
It was also recently revealed that Ant is set to divorce his wife-of-11-years Lisa Armstrong.
According the reports, the marriage came under strain following the revelation of Ant's addiction issues.
After scooping Best Presenters at the National Television Awards for the 17th time this year, Ant spoke out about his tough time and what an emotional rollercoaster it has been.

“It’s been a tough year for me”

The 42-year-old told Daily Star Online: "It’s been a tough year for me personally, quite an emotional night, so to kind of top it off with three awards has been… can I have a lie down now?"
Ant added: "I love working with him and that was the one thing… I had a very tough summer last summer.
"I had to face up to a lot of things and my one thing was just getting back to work and getting back to work with my best mate, we've done it."
Lisa could reportedly be set to take half of Ant's estimated £62m in the divorce, which has seen the pair battle over custody of their dog Hurley.

Ant became addicted to painkillers following knee surgery, and spent three months in rehab to battle his demons.
But it looks like he is back in fighting form following his and Dec's success on the night of the prestigious awards.
Not only did the pair win Best TV Presenters, they scooped the Challenge Show category with I'm A Celeb and the Bruce Forsyth Award for Saturday Night Takeaway.
What a night.
