Man Utd transfer news: Jose Mourinho mulling over second January deal
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho is mulling over a late swoop for Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, reports claim.
After signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal on Monday, Mourinho is keen to bring some more fresh faces to Manchester United before next week’s 11pm deadline.
A midfielder has been identified as a priority, and with Michael Carrick retiring at the end of the season, Mourinho has set his sights on Seri.
Although Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic have marshalled things well in the middle of the park, Mourinho would like more bodies in that area.
The Portuguese tactician was also looking at strengthening his left-back options, but there has been no movement on that front.

Recent reports meanwhile suggested United and Manchester City are both interested in striking deals for Seri.
He came close to joining Barcelona last summer, but a move fell through.
And according to The Sun, Mourinho is deliberating as to whether or not to sign Seri this month or postpone it until after the campaign finishes.

It is also said that United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will team up with head of corporate development Matt Judge to try and get a deal over the line.
However, a transfer shouldn’t be problematic seeing as United were named the world’s richest club in Deloitte’s Football Money League 2018.
United generated £581.2million in revenue last year - £1.5m more than Real Madrid.
