WATERTOWN – Nancy L. Murphy, 66, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Jan. 20, 2018, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Nancy was born Nov. 27, 1951, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Elmer (Junnie) and Gladys (Honey) Hubbard. She retired after 38 years of service with Waterbury Hospital.
Nancy enjoyed bowling and spending time at the casino. She was always happiest while spending time with her family.
Nancy was a dedicated and loving mother, wife and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her.
Among her survivors are her sons, Jared Murphy (Melissa) of Fredericksburg, Va. and Dean Murphy (Erika) of Wolcott. She is also survived by her uncle Eugene Hubbard (Lonnie); her cousins, James E. Brooks Sr., Bernice (Cookie) Pelletier, Ed Brooks and Sharon Dubail. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and several godchildren.
Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Kevin C. Murphy and her brother, Edward J. Hubbard.
A memorial service for Mrs. Murphy will be held on Thursday at 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at O’Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St., Oakville.
