The City Corporation has decided to strictly implement green protocol during wedding parties.
A meeting, chaired by Thiruvananthapuram Mayor V.K. Prasanth and attended by the representatives of marriage halls, auditoriums and places of worship, also discussed the various aspects of the newly-introduced facility for online registration of marriages.
On the occasion, Mr. Prasanth pointed out that the institutions concerned should enter into a contract with the Corporation for implementing the facility to register marriages on the day of the marriage.
He added that the existing system of obtaining certificates by submitting the relevant documents at the Corporation office will also continue.
Agreement
The meeting decided that the organisers of wedding parties must enter into an agreement with the venue owner to strictly comply with the green protocol.
The Mayor informed the meeting that the Corporation will organise special training for workers who are entrusted with serving food at such functions.Health standing committee chairman K. Sreekumar, Welfare standing committee chairperson R. Geetha Gopal and Corporation secretary L.S. Deepa were among those present at the meeting.
