A doctor was named "Ningxiang County's Prettiest Doctor" because she managed to touch many hearts with her perseverance at work, reported Sin Chew Daily.
Ningxiang County People's Hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology head Cheng Li (pic), who has been working there for seven years, had been unwell for days.
As it was her turn to be on duty, she decided to administer an IV drip to herself, leaving her right hand free to take down notes.
"It is just a minor illness. As long as it doesn't affect our work, we would still turn up for work," she said.
One patient said that Cheng should be crowned Ningxiang County's Prettiest Doctor for her dedication.
Cheng, however, felt she did not deserve the title.
"We have lots of doctors at the hospital who are just as hardworking and dedicated," she said.
Nevertheless, she was still honoured with the title.
