A 25-year-old Mountain Home man, Joseph Stephen, died Monday night after a head-on collision on AR Highway 177 in Jordan, according to a Preliminary Fatal Crash Summary from Trooper Nathan Litty of the Arkansas State Police.
Stephen was northbound in a 1997 Honda Accord at approximately 8:33 p.m. when he crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The weather was clear and the road was dry, according to Litty's report.
The highway was shut down for a significant period of time as emergency personnel worked the scene of the accident.
Litty's report indicated two other people were injured as a result of the accident. The names of individuals injured in accidents are generally not released by the Arkansas State Police.
